Thank you so much for applying to be a model for our newborn model call! We are so so excited to work with you!

Before we go any further, I would like to go over what we need from you to make sure that you are fully prepared and session goes smoothly. It is super important that you read this page as it will have very important information for you.

This newborn session should only take about 2 hours. If we are able to move smoothly through the poses it could even be as little as an hour. We are looking to get content of me working with my clients, so we would very much like to include you and your partner and any additional children you have in these photos (plus then you can leave with a beautiful full family photo).

What to Wear:

For the Mamas, I got you! You are welcome to wear one of the many dresses in my closet. The rest of the family should be in casual wear, (I always say pretend you are going out for a nice dinner, so not your everyday clothes, but also nothing too dressy, something in between). For Dads, they can wear jeans and a top that is logo free, a sweater or even a button up shirt. Stay away from patterns, and stick to any earth tones palette, this will ensure you match with the wardrobe and studio decor in a complimentary way. Do not wear black. Do not worry about shoes as your photos do not include your feet, or you will be sitting on a bed. I will include example images for your reference.

And do not worry, I will have all the props and accessories to dress your baby!

What to Expect

Booking: I will ask you to book at the end of this page, you will book in your baby’s DUE DATE if they have not arrived yet. If your baby is already born, please refer to the email I sent you with this page, as I will have included a date to book. If this date does not work for you, please reply to that email and we will see what we can do about a different date.

IF YOU ARE BOOKING WITH YOUR DUE DATE, we will not be finalizing your session date and time until baby has arrived. We will then discuss with you an ideal time for your session and I will reschedule your session to that finalized date and time.

Session: As stated above the session shouldn’t take more that two hours. We book these sessions at midday (so 12pm or 1pm) as that is when lighting is optimal in the studio, as we exclusively us natural light. We will be following baby’s cues so we may start with the family photos, or we may do the newborn set ups first.

A few days before your session I will be sending you a prep email, this will have tips and tricks on how to properly prep baby for this session, just to hopefully encourage them to sleep through it. Try your hardest to follow these tips as they will help make the session run more smoothly.

In this session we will be treating you just like a regular paying client. This means I (Reina) will be doing photos of the family, photos of mom with baby, dad with baby, and if there are siblings, them with baby too. I will work to get all the beautiful details and sweet smiles if they show up. While I am doing this, my husband and business partner Chuck will be filming or photographing me as I am working with you or your baby. He may stop us and have us redo something, but ultimately he will be focused on documenting the session for us.

After the Session: I will email you once the photos have been edited and are ready for viewing. We will meet via zoom and it can be a beautiful reveal so it is a good idea to have both of you there to see the lovely images of your baby. It is during this session that I will be there to help you to narrow down your images to your 2 free photos.

• $150 off our regular priced Newborn session PLUS upgrade to have ALL edited digital images (approx. 40-60 images) reg price $1000.

Once you have made your decision I will guide you through the steps on how to receive your full resolution digital images, as well as give you tips on how to best back up your images so they are never lost to you.
