maternity model info & prep

Thank you so much for applying to be a model for our maternity model call! We are so so excited to work with you!

Before we go any further, I would like to go over what we need from you to make sure that you are fully prepared and session goes smoothly. It is very important that you read this page as it will have very important information for you.

This maternity session should only take about 1 hour outdoors. We are looking to get content of me working with my clients, so we would very much like to include your partner and any additional children you have in these photos (plus then you can leave with a beautiful full family photo). We will discuss location during your consultation, but for reference we will be working very close to our studio which is at 7139 rue Briand in Ville Emard.

What to Wear:

For the Mamas, I got you! You are welcome to wear any of the dresses from my closet. The rest of the family should be in casual wear, (I always say pretend you are going out for a nice dinner, so not your everyday clothes, but also nothing too dressy, something in between). For Dads, they can wear jeans and a top that is logo free, a sweater or even a button up shirt. Stay away from patterns, and stick to an earth tones palette, this will ensure you match with the wardrobe and outdoor setting in a complimentary way. Do not wear black.

What to Expect

Booking & Pre-Consultation: We will be meeting on zoom and this meeting is incredibly important to do as it will allow us to cover some important parts of prepping for this session. We will book and finalize the date we will be shooting your session as well as the location. We will speak in detail about your comfort level, as we fully respect your body autonomy and never want to make you uncomfortable. We also go over in detail what you should bring, what to do about hair and make up, etc.

Session: As stated above your session will be about an hour long. In this session we will be treating you just like a regular paying client. This means I (Reina) will be doing photos of you, as well as photos of you with your partner and any additional children you may have. While I am doing this, my husband and business partner Chuck will be filming or photographing me as I am working with you. He may stop us and have us redo something, but ultimately he will be focused on documenting the session for us.

After the Session: I will email you once the photos I took have been edited and are ready for viewing. We will meet via zoom and it can be a beautiful reveal so it is a good idea to have both of you there to see these lovely images. It is during this session that I will be there to help you to narrow down your images to your 2 free photos.

OR, while there is no obligation to purchase anything further, if you truly enjoyed the experience and would like more, you can choose this compensation instead:

  • You can upgrade to get more digital images by purchasing a digital package and receive $200 off your chosen digital package.

  • OR when you book your newborn session with us, you will get all of your edited digital images from your maternity session in full resolution, as well as $200 off your chosen digital package! (Please note: your newborn images will not be considered a part of the model call, so if you wish to keep your baby private, that would be totally fine with us)

Once you have made your decision I will guide you through the steps on how to receive your full resolution digital images, as well as give you tips on how to best back up your images so they are never lost to you. If you are planning to also have the newborn session done, I will also lead you through what to expect for that.
