My favourite thing to do as a kid in the 90s was going through the photos after getting some film developed, It wasn’t often that my parents would bring out the camera, so when we had a full roll of film to develop I was over the moon. For me, seeing photos of me and my family gave me a real sense of belonging, something that I, as a budding teenager, really craved.
Nowadays photos rarely have that sense of mystery for most of us. We can see the photos we take before we even take them. We can take a gazillion at a time, and rarely do we spend the time to go through the ones we do take to give them a special place on our walls or in our albums. Often our memories are left in the forgotten digital graveyard of our phone, only to be glanced at when our phones’ memory is too full.
THIS is why I do family photos every year. It has nothing to do with status, or presenting a pretty, perfect façade for social media; instead, it’s a chance to bring a little magic back to photographs. Every year, I have return clients who have joy in this meaningful experience because they do not get to see the photos immediately, and when they do it is such a lovely way to just pause and celebrate their favourite people: their family. They have a sense of belonging, a sense of scale on how big the kids are growing, the changes the year made, all of the things that otherwise would be forgotten or only a vague memory as the years march on.
The everyday stuff can sometimes cloud what is right in front of you, a family that you love more than life itself, and taking a moment to capture that, celebrate it and honour it is a truly beautiful and validating experience.

We are booking 12 Sessions per weekend in hopes to give ample variety and access to this popular experience.
The Session
Your Session is 20 minutes, I have a tried and true workflow that will allow us to get photos of the full family, each parent with each child and the child(ren) on their own! We help you with posing, and focus entirely on having TONS of fun!
As always, included in this special session from our full session experience:
Full use of my studio wardrobe, including flattering dresses for mom, and outfits for boys (up to age 2) and girls (up to age 9).
The photo session itself, including editing and retouching your photos.
An online photo reveal appointment after the session is complete, where you can pick your 5 favourite images.
All for $250!
*with options to upgrade to more digital images if you wish!
