Here we are again, another year another autumn!

This page here is going to have all of the information you need to prep, plan and enjoy your family session with me this year! So keep scrolling to see where we will meet, my tips on what to wear and more!

A quick word about weather

Weather has been WEIRD this year, and I have been noticing more leaves on the ground earlier than usual. If you are really stoked for the pretty autumn colours, it is super important that you let me know. We can keep the date of your session more flexible, so that we don’t miss the beautiful colours and end up with just brown sticks behind you in your photos, haha!

And as usual, if the weather isn’t lovely on our day, if there is a high chance of rain, or it’s unbelievably cold, we can definitely reschedule to an earlier or later date.

Location, location, location!

If you chose: Angrignon Park

Parking: We suggest you park on Trinitaires Blvd on the SE corner of the park. (see map below)

Meeting Spot: We will meet you by the lake (once again, see map below :p).

What to Expect: If you have had a session with me in this park, it will be very similar, we may venture to a unique space in the park, but I am a bit limited to the direction of light. Tree climbing, leaf tossing and big snuggles are fully encouraged!

Reminder on Pricing

Your Session includes an hour of photography and 15 full resolution digital images of your choice for $450
If you wish you can upgrade to receive ALL of your digital images in full resolution for an additional charge of $150 (total price would be $600)

reminder: you have already paid a $100 deposit to hold your date and time, so you will be paying the remainder balance at your viewing appointment.

Tips on What to Wear

Y’all are gorgeous folks who know how to dress yourselves, but just in case I can help ease the stress of choosing clothing, here are some tips I use.

First. I choose one clothing item or outfit that you would love to have worn in the session (I always begin with what I am wearing before I get to Lux and Chuck’s outfits, because I find I am the most critical of what I am wearing and how I look in photos). Once you have that piece of clothing or outfit picked, take the most dominant colour and search Pinterest to find a color palatte with that color on it. You will then see what colours go well with your item of clothing. Here is a few screenshot examples of how I go through the process:

I can choose to go warm with the pops of orange and burgundy, or bright and beachy, but my favourite colours are the ones that are warm and earthy with browns and mustard and greens. So I will find clothes for Lux and Chuck that fit those colours.

I try to focus on keeping everyone comfortable when choosing outfits. I want to be able to sit without pants being too tight, or shirts bunching weirdly. I want Lux to wear an outfit he can crawl and climb and walk around in. I want to be wearing something flowy and flattering to my figure so that when I am moving in shots, its light and adds texture. We would all be wearing comfortable walking shoes, and just working to keep it “casual pretty” :)

Now this is how I would dress my family, but you may choose a completely different color scheme, which is awesome! I want you to have your own style up in here! I would just try to stay away from black and instead try dark browns, or greens, etc. Just because black just stands out too much from the background, and isn’t super pleasing to the eye (in my opinion, haha, so take that with a grain of salt, hehe).

After the Session

Like we usually do, we will be meeting on zoom once your photos are completely edited. We will look at your entire gallery, and you will let me know if you wish to choose your 15 favourite digital images, or go for the upgrade and get the full gallery. If you choose to narrow down to your 15 faves, we will be doing that together on that same zoom call, and I will share with you my tips and tricks on narrowing down your images. Following this call you will receive your images via digital download, and you will have access to your gallery for 12 months (yes even if you only choose 15 digitals! You will not be able to download the images you did not choose from the gallery, but if you wish to print them you have 12 months to do so!)
